France Galop proposed to me a 'carte blanche' to look at horse racing. Unlike a purely documentary approach, where one is very informed, I entered into this sport very candidly and therefore with great freedom.
Everything was unknown to me - everything was to be discovered. I created a feature of horse races with a focus on women jockeys. At first I was surprised that women competed along with men. Contrary to popular belief, the equestrian world is very feminine. I then had the desire to dedicate part of this commission to them, creating a series of portraits in the stables of the different race tracks of France Galop.
Women jockey showed me determination, discipline, humility and great professionalism in their practices making them high-level athletes where the relationship with the horses .
